Man, this made my day. nonmyopicdave posted a piece of his "alienpop" on MetaFilter's music section titled, "Rocketships". Please, just have a listen. You'll see what I mean. nmdave explains he used Band-In-A-Box to meld cheesy, midi beeps and melodies with two harmonizing, and you'll recognize standard, Apple text-to-speech voices to sing a poem from Leonard Nimoy's book, Warmed by Love (here it is on Amazon).
