I have re-fallen in love with Miranda July. Her latest book, No one belongs here more than you., will be published by Scribner on May 15th. The promotional website for the book is enough like a choose-your-own adventure, except with only one main path, that I have been won over in a way that can only be described as the feeling you get having discovered something for the first time. Like learning your stove makes a perfect dry-erase board. It's a reaction much like the one I had seeing her first feature-length film, Me and You and Everyone We Know.

OK, you just convinced me. Netflix -> Me and You and Everyone We Know -> Top of Queue.
Excellent. : ) It's definitely one of my favorites of 2005... Even though I didn't see it until 2006, at the Jefferson. ::sigh:: I wish the Jef was still around. Anyway, hope you like it!
Wow, very cool! I dig her, lots. Let's hang out again soon--I put those pictures in for developing, so I will have some to share next week. Next week? Awesome. See you for drinks.
(Just heard a great podcast interview with Miranda; nice blog, btw...)
Oh, snap!! Thanks for the podcast link, Darren. And thx for the nod.
