I realized today that I know "cat people". Or, at least animal people. I don't consider myself a "cat person" -- at least not in the commonly used sense of the phrase. Oh well; I guess I'm a cat person. I received a forward about a C'ville kitty -- one-eyed Mr. Blues -- who needs a permanent (indoor) home. Immediately I thought about all the folks I could tell about Mr. Blues and that, if not them, *somebody* knows someone who will want this cat.
Truth is, I'd adopt him in a heartbeat, except I don't know how well Mr. Blues would get on with my current house cat, Holly. I'm also convinced that Mr. Blues, having one eye, must be enchanted. We're talking the Dread Pirate Roberts here. I know, I know: he had full use of both eyes, but I digress.

Hi! My name is Mr. Blues and I’m looking for a new home. I’m a special kitty: I have beautiful, glossy black fur, but I only have one eye – and that one eye doesn’t work so well, so I have to stay inside all of the time. I’m about 2 years old, have been “fixed” and have regular check-ups so I have all of my shots, etc. I love to play with my scratching post and toys. I am very affectionate and would make someone a great inside kitty. The person I currently live with is allergic to cats, so I need to find another loving, caring home.
I've always wondered- How does someone who is allergic to cats wind up with one? I'm having my own trials trying to find homes for a few kittens (of feral parentage). Good luck with your efforts.
