A tale of airplanes and water-fights, in four parts.

Part One: Virgin America launched its first domestic flight on Wednesday (the pictures are pretty cool; claimed to be "the most geek-friendly airline yet invented"). Part Two: One plane in Virgin America's fleet is named "air colbert" after Stephen Colbert of The Daily Show/Colbert Report fame. Part Three: Colbert scheduled Virgin founder Sir Richard Branson to come on The Colbert Report to promote the line. Apparently Branson became so frustrated about the brevity of the proposed segment, he threw his mug of water on Colbert. Colbert reciprocated. This exchange never aired. I hope this footage shows up as a "deleted scene" when The Colbert Report comes out on DVD. Part Four: Colbert missed the inaugural flight altogether because of rain and traffic in NYC. Coincidence? Hmm. This is awkward.

Ooh, I've heard really great things about Virgin airlines. I didn't know they were starting up U.S. domestic flights. This is exciting. I'm ashamed to admit it, but seeing as I can barely turn a computer on, it's the purple mood lighting that sells me. And legroom. *Sigh*. Will I never *truly* be computer dork-rific? Bummer.
