Johnny Chung Lee is a doctoral student in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute of Carnegie Mellon. He's doing some pretty awesome things, and he doesn't mind telling us about 'em.
So when I say "trust me", I mean, go to his site and have a look around. Check out his projects.
I'm a big fan of the Wii-mods, myself (the last demonstration is pretty mind-blowing, actually, and there's now a whole website devoted to these Wiimote mods). His "Community Splash" project is also rather moving. And besides these synopses, he has a more personal blog about all of his projects, or "procrastineering", here. Oh hey, and look at that: he earned his BS in Computer Engineering from UVa.
Stumblng upon Mr. Lee's website today made me really happy. Knowing there are guys out there, innovating and so eager to share and demonstrate their work is a very heartening thing. I'm really glad to know I can stay-tuned for more inspired tinkering. : )
